While there are already excellent products on the market that provide traditional physical document cataloging capabilities (ie, library software), as well as other, equally superb programs providing electronic document/file management capabilities (ie, file archiving/storage mgmt products), there are not any currently any 'off-the-shelf' optimal solutions for management of mixed physical/electronic collections like those typically used by engineering, architectural and design firms.
